Natural Garden in Your Yard program mentors

The mentors, our ambassadors for natural gardens, are dedicated volunteers who have experience with native plants and habitats. We match each participant with a mentor who has knowledge of the type of habitat or garden project to be planted. Other considerations are made based on the mentor’s style and distance from the participant’s home.

The foundation for this successful and rewarding program is the dedication of our mentors. Our mentors’ experience in native plant gardening ranges from 4 to 40 years, with an average of 16 years. Many have been volunteering as mentors with the program for more than 10 years.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor or co-mentor, please contact us at grow@thewppc.org
